The Gap Assessment is a no-charge, clinical discovery call designed to identify what's actually driving your symptoms — and determine the most effective next step.
of patients state they had "normal" labs before working with us
failed programs on average before finding this
average time to see real, lasting change
You've had the bloodwork done and been told everything is "within normal range"
You've seen your GP, been referred to a specialist, and still left without real answers
You've tried every approach you've been given and nothing has moved the needle
You've been managing symptoms for years while the root cause goes completely unaddressed
You're exhausted from chasing answers in a system that keeps telling you you're fine
Standard bloodwork tells your doctor you're not critically ill. It doesn't tell them why you feel the way you do. The markers that explain fatigue, poor recovery, and symptoms your doctor can't place — those aren't on a routine panel. Normal doesn't mean nothing is wrong. It means the search stopped too soon.
Somewhere between the third specialist and the fourth "everything looks fine," you became the project manager of your own illness.
You run the research. You track the symptoms. You cross-reference supplements at 11pm, after the kids are down. You decide what to try next. You decide alone. And when it doesn't work, that's on you too.
You are already a wife, a mother, an employee, a friend, the person who remembers the dentist appointments. Now you're also your own diagnostician.
That was never the job.

This call is designed for individuals who:
Want clear, objective insight before committing to care
Prefer structured conversations over vague reassurance
Value logic, data, and informed decision-making
Expect professionalism and direct communication
The issue is rarely willpower. The issue is missing information.
Many people booking this call have already:
Followed recommendations
Made lifestyle changes
Seen multiple providers
Been told everything looks “normal”
The Gap Assessment exists to determine:
Whether a root-cause approach makes sense
What systems may be contributing to symptoms
Which next steps are worth pursuing — and which aren’t
During the call, we will:
Review your primary symptoms and health history
Identify patterns that may be contributing to dysfunction
Clarify whether functional medicine is appropriate for your case
Outline potential next steps if further evaluation is warranted
There is no pressure to move forward.
The goal is clarity.
This Call Is:
Educational & informational
A chance to understand your lab gaps
Focused on understanding root causes
Designed to help you take the next right step
This Call Is NOT:
A doctor's visit or medical consultation
Diagnosis or treatment plan
A replacement for your current provider
A high-pressure sales call
Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, we look at how systems interact:
Cardiometabolic function
Hormonal regulation
Digestive health
Stress and nervous system load
This allows us to determine whether your symptoms have a clear, addressable root cause — or whether a different route would be more appropriate.

Dr. Caitlin Zimmer has been in private practice since 2009, helping patients uncover the deeper factors behind their health concerns through a personalized, whole-body approach.
As a functional medicine practitioner, Dr. Zimmer works with patients who feel stuck or frustrated by unresolved symptoms — looking beyond surface-level issues to explore the underlying patterns affecting their health. Using comprehensive evaluations, advanced functional testing, and individualized strategies, she helps patients better understand their bodies and create a clear path forward.
Dr. Zimmer's work focuses on energy, metabolism, hormones, digestion, inflammation, and overall wellness — evaluating the unique factors that influence each person's health rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.
She earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic with Honors from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 2008 and completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, where she was on the Cal Water Polo Team. As a lifelong athlete and mother of three, she understands firsthand the demands placed on the body at every stage of life.
Her goal: to bridge the gap between having symptoms and finding answers — empowering patients with meaningful information and personalized guidance to move toward lasting wellness.

After the call, most people leave with:
A clearer understanding of what may be driving symptoms
Confidence in whether further care makes sense
Direction — even if that direction isn’t working together
Even when no next step is recommended, the call provides value.

This call is best suited for people who:
Want to understand their health before acting
Are open to structured, evidence-based insight
Prefer clarity over reassurance
If that aligns, the next step is simple.
